South Korea Reach Asian Cup final by Crushing Iraq 2-0.....

Lee Jeong-hyeop gave the lead with a 20th minute header and defender Kim Young-gwon lashed the second into the net five minutes after the break as the South Koreans reached the final for the first time since 1988.
Iraq emotionally and physically drained by their dramatic quarter-final victory over Iran last week, played with plenty of passion but were unable to become the first side to breach the Korean defence in five matches in Australia.
"This semi-final was crucial for us to get to the final, we know we have not won this competition for many years," said South Korean midfielder Nam Tae-hee, who was named Man of the Match.
"All the players were together, firm and united, and that's what gave us the win today."
South Korea had looked the most likely to score in a cagey opening to the match with Son Heung-min, the two-goal hero of their quarter-final victory over Uzbekistan, drawing a fingertip save out of Jalal Hassan with a long-range effort.
A minute later and the Koreans were in front, Kim Jin-su curling a free kick into the box and Lee rising above the Iraqi defence to head down and into the net.
Iraq skipper Younis Mahmoud was making his presence felt up front but South Korea are not a side to be bullied at the back and he was more often than not battling alone in the first half.
The persistent rain that fell on Sydney all day was not able to dampen the spirits of a noisy crowd of just over 36,000, the South Koreans at one end with inflatable batons and the horde of Iraqis at the other accompanied by drums and whistles.
The Koreans had more to shout about but Iraq gave their supporters a lift with a flurry of attacks just before the break when winger Amjed Kalaf's raking drive forced Kim Jin-hyeon to get down low to push the ball across his goal.

Since then, he has added the Club World Cup title to his collection, has scored a stunning 26 goals in 17 La Liga matches and looks set to looks set to smash the biggest total for a season in Spain's top flight of 50 scored by Messi in 2011-12.
All that was enough to overlook a disappointing World Cup where Portugal went out in the first round and Ronaldo mustered only one goal.
However, he still became Portugal's all-time leading scorer and his goal haul for his country stands at 52 in 117 appearances.

Chelsea Assistant Coach Closed Door for Lionel Messi Entry !

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi deal with Chelsea is impossible under financial fair play rules, assistant coach Steve Holland said on Friday.

The Argentine's captain at Barca has come under increasing scrutiny in recent weeks amid media reports of a bust up with coach Luis Enrique and talk of a potential move away from the Nou Camp.

Coach Steve Holland, standing in at the club's weekly news conference for Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, said it was unlikely the London club could bring the Lionel Messi to Stamford Bridge without breaching UEFA's stringent spending controls. It was unlikely that any player would join Chelsea in the January transfer window.

"Jose has made it quite clear that in this window his expectation is that nobody comes and nobody goes," Steve said.

"I recall him this time last year saying a similar thing, but a couple of things happened that made us reactive. Manchester United made a huge bid for Juan Mata. Sometimes you have to react.

"But the hope and expectation is that nobody leaves and nobody comes. We're happy with what we have. This club conforms with financial fair play. We've brought one or two players in over the last 12 months but it's quite clear that players have been sold to balance the books.

"When you look at the numbers being mentioned around the Messi deal, I think it's almost an impossible deal for any club working within the restraints of financial fair play."

Chelsea, who had an eight-point lead whittled away by Manchester City and now sit top of the Premier League only by virtue of alphabetical order, face Newcastle at home on Saturday.

Lionel Messi Joins Chelsea rumours or Truth ? find out.....

Current Premier League leaders Chelsea are monitoring the relationship between Barcelona striker Lionel Messi and coach Luis Enrique, which continues to worsen at the Catalan club.

A Spanish newspaper has reported that Messi is unhappy with coach Enrique way of running the dressing room at Barca and in light of the same, 2015 might prove to be the year Chelsea makes their move for the Argentina.
It has been revealed that the club's first training session of 2015 was marred by a war of words between the two when Enrique failed to award a free-kick to Messi during a 5-a-side game, Sport24  reported.
Messi has reportedly grown irritated by the excessive authoritarianism of the coach, and this has left the situation between the coach and the club's star player on tenterhooks.
Chelsea have been linked with a 200m pound offer for Messi in the summer and this latest incident is likely to only strengthen suggestions that the move could happen.

Also, Italian media has reported that Paris Saint-Germain offered Messi 320,000 pound-a-week after tax to make the move to Ligue 1 last summer in a 160m pound deal.

Manchester United manager had to accept the English way !!

Great Johan Cruyff (Former Netherlands greatest Player)  told Louis van Gaal  has no right to complain about the hectic holiday season programme in the Premier League when he chose to go and work there.

Writing in his weekly Article, Cruyff said the Manchester United manager had to accept the English way of running their league without a winter break.
Cruyff said"If you choose for England, then you choose for their successful system, which is based on the proposition that the stadiums open as soon as the fans are available to watch, which is the holiday period."
Playing football between Christmas and New Year is a war of attrition and thus in favour of physically stronger teams. Any attempt by Van Gaal to try to change the system would be doomed to failure, added Cruyff, who has had a strained relationship with his compatriot and has criticised Van Gaal’s organisation of the United team since taking over in July.
"It has been working (well) since time immemorial and in 100 years it will still be so," Cruyff said.
"Complaining makes no sense if everyone else around you is happy. Moreover, everybody is well paid for working over the holiday period.”

Van Gaal
said the over-crowded festive fixture schedule neglected player welfare and short-changed millions of supporters.

“Everybody knows the body cannot recover within 48 hours,” he said last month. Therefore there is a rule within UEFA and FIFA that you cannot play the games within two days. The scientists have proven it, everybody knows it and, in spite of that, we have to play.

Van Gaal said “It is the culture of England. I don’t mind, but it’s not good for the players, for the health of the players, and it’s not good for the game.”
